A: thank you mala. christmas doesn't take up much real estate in my brain but i won't lie i am actually quite fond of the music. everyone jokes about Mariah Carey but i love that song. I actually have to work that day but after that i plan to visit family and stuff :3.
Similarly I don't think much about christmas movies, and never really go out of my way to watch them, but for some reason the opening parts of The Santa Clause with tim allen has been stuck in my head since the season started. i dont even know the last time i watched it. i think it is just because the first half of it is so bizarre. stuck in my brain forever
Q: Your works tend to include a lot of space/celestial themes and settings, do you have a general interest in space stuff outside of that? Or is it just a look/vibe you're fond of?
A: hmm kind of both? Astronomy was one of my biggest interests as a kid! I still like it but i'm not as voraciously looking for information about it anymore. i think it's always interested me because Space as a concept seems so... fantastical... but it's all real and we have teh science to explain it.... its really cool... i've always liked things relating to stars and black holes and stuff like that especially. beautiful but scary.
So I guess that interest kind of leaked into my aesthetic preferences later on and never went away. despite my rambling about how science is cool or whatever, i still make my settings very whimsical because honestly it is kind of just more fun that way.
